Description:  Noted for its shorter stature, Alcea rosea 'Queeny Purple' (Hollyhock) is an annual which produces sturdy spikes of large, frilly-edged, purple flowers, resembling powder puffs. Blooming from mid to late summer, the striking flowers, up to 4" across, are arranged all around the spike and bloom from the bottom up.
